According to a report from CCTV News, former U.S. Secretary of State and former First Lady Hillary Clinton gave a closed-door deposition to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on the Epstein case at 11 am Eastern Time on Feb. 26. One day later, on the morning of Feb. 27 local time, Hillary's husband, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, will also provide closed-door testimony.
The Clintons initially refused to testify but agreed to submit to questioning after lawmakers threatened to hold them in contempt of Congress. Although the depositions are closed-door, they are being videotaped throughout, with reports indicating the footage will be made public.
Hillary stated that she had no knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities and did not recall meeting him. "I do not recall ever encountering Mr. Epstein," she said. "I never flew on his plane or visited his island, homes, or offices. I have nothing to add to that".
Hillary urged that current President Donald Trump be questioned on the Epstein case and that relevant documents that may have been "covered up" be thoroughly investigated. She also suggested that American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk should be subpoenaed to testify.
In recent months, Democrats and Republicans have taken turns releasing portions of Epstein-related documents, each accusing the other party's high-level figures of associations with Epstein and even connections to his sex crimes. Late last month, the U.S. Department of Justice released millions of pages of related documents. The Epstein case files that have been made public extensively mention Clinton, including several old photographs with Epstein.
