The Government announced today (May 4) that the property owners and residents of Wang Fuk Court will be waived from the final tax payable for the year of assessment 2025/26 in order to ease the financial burden on people affected by the fire.
Together with the tax waiver announced by the Government last December, the property owners and residents of Wang Fuk Court will be waived from the balance of tax payable for the year of assessment 2024/25 and the tax payable for the year of assessment 2025/26. The Inland Revenue Department will issue tax returns for individuals to the abovementioned persons in the third quarter of this year to assess their provisional tax for the year of assessment 2026/27.
