According to the Hong Kong Immigration Department, the cumulative total of mainland visitors to Hong Kong over the first three days of the May Day Holiday exceeded 710,000, with more than 200,000 entering Hong Kong yesterday.
Among the more than 200,000 mainland visitors yesterday, the most arrived via the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line control point, followed by the West Kowloon High-Speed Rail Station.
Meanwhile, yesterday marked the peak period for Hong Kong residents returning home. Throughout the day, more than 481,000 Hong Kong residents came back Hong Kong. The largest number returned via the Lo Wu control point, with 106,000 persons. Next were the Shenzhen Bay control point and the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line control point, with 74,000 and 72,000 persons respectively.
