The Hong Kong Observatory has urged the public to stay weather-aware during the May Day holiday, with unsettled conditions expected over the coming days.
According to the Observatory, a band of clouds is set to cover coastal areas of Guangdong today (May 1) and tomorrow.
Conditions will be mainly cloudy today, with brief sunny intervals during the day, followed by one or two showers later. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 26°C.
Temperatures are forecast to rise on Saturday (May 2), with a couple of showers expected. On Sunday (May 3), showers will become more frequent, accompanied by squally thunderstorms and strong winds.
Cloudy conditions are expected to persist in the following one to two days, with slightly cooler temperatures in the mornings.
