Reuters and polling firm Ipsos released the results of their latest joint poll on April 28, showing that US President Trump's approval rating has fallen to a new low of just 34%. According to the report, Trump's popularity has been on a steady decline following the US-Iran conflict.
The poll shows that Trump's approval rating dropped from 36% to 34%, marking the lowest level recorded in this survey. When Trump took office last year, his approval rating stood at 47%. It then continued to decline but was still at 42% in early January. However, after the United States launched military action against Iran on February 28, Trump's approval began to slide as the conflict lengthened, dropping to 36% in late March.
Reuters noted that oil prices have been rising since the outbreak of the US-Iran conflict, and Trump's approval rating has been severely damaged as a result. Currently, only 22% of respondents said they approve of Trump's performance on prices, with 52% of Republicans expressing satisfaction, but only 3% of Democrats said they are satisfied with the current state of prices. Additionally, only 34% of respondents support the US-Iran conflict, with just 6% of Democrats expressing such support.
