Defending champion Zhao Xintong was held to a 4-4 draw by Ding Junhui after the first session of their second-round match at the 2026 World Snooker Championship on April 24 (Hong Kong time).
In the highly anticipated all-Chinese encounter, Zhao trailed 2-3 before winning two consecutive frames to move ahead. However, in the eighth frame, Ding produced a dramatic comeback. After Zhao compiled a break of 61, Ding cleared the table and edged the frame by a single point, leveling the match at 4-4 by the end of the first session.
The second session is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. Hong Kong time on April 25.
