The 16th "Mega Ice Hockey 5's" will be held at Mega Ice in Kowloon Bay from April 23 to May 9. This year's event features 109 ice hockey teams from 16 countries and cities, competing for trophies in the youth, men's, and women's categories.
The teams taking part in the tournament come from Australia, Canada, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as ice hockey clubs from Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taiyuan, Wuhan, Hong Kong, and Macao in China.
There are 42 teams in the adult categories, reaching a record high. The youth categories feature 67 teams. All matches are officiated by professional referees from Canada and the US.
Each group offers a championship title, along with gold and silver awards. In addition, there are individual awards including "best forward", "best defensive player", "best goaltender", and "most valuable player". The youth tournament will take place from April 23 to May 2, while the adult tournament will be held from May 4 to May 9.

This year's event also introduces a series of hot-blooded match-day gifts, including ice hockey plush keychains, collectible commemorative cups, towels, mini ice hockey sticks, and an ultra-limited ice hockey teddy bear plush toy.
