Hong Kong is set for a dramatic weather shift following the Grain Rain (Guyu) solar term, with conditions expected to fluctuate sharply in the coming days.
The Hong Kong Observatory said today (April 22) that it would be hot during the day, with urban temperatures reaching as high as 30°C.
However, a cold front is forecast to move across coastal areas on April 23, bringing increasingly unstable weather. Showers and squally thunderstorms are expected, followed by a drop in temperature, with readings ranging between 22°C and 28°C.
By Friday (April 24), rainfall is expected to intensify in some areas, with the minimum temperature falling to around 21°C.
