According to a Wall Street Journal report, merchandise featuring the likenesses of Silicon Valley tech CEOs is gaining popularity, with a sweater priced at US$178 (approx. HK$1,394) and printed with a cartoon version of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang becoming a hot item at a recent developer conference. The trend reflects how "founder culture" is seeping into the consumer space amid the AI wave.
At Nvidia's annual conference, an engineer from San Francisco said the sweater's price is close to that of a single Nvidia share, but remains appealing. As the AI industry heats up and Nvidia's market value climbs, Huang's personal influence continues to expand, with fans likening his persona to a pop culture icon, driving demand for related merchandise.
According to reports, the image on the "TJ Sweater" is "Toy Jensen" — an AI-powered virtual avatar of Huang first unveiled during Nvidia's GTC keynote in 2021.
