Tan Siu Lin Foundation's Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Marine Ecology & Technology Study Tour concludes successfully

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Marine Ecology & Technology Study Tour, organised by the Tan Siu Lin Foundation ("TSL Foundation") , held its completion ceremony at the Louis Koo Cinema, Hong Kong Arts Centre today. With the aim of broadening participants' horizons as well as inspiring innovative thinking, the tour comprised of a 4day 3night journey from 9-12 April 2026 with around 40 students from the Strive and Rise Programme, while they had the opportunity to visit different sites in the Greater Bay area combining marine conservation and technological exploration.

At the ceremony, Ms. Jennifer Tan, the Executive Director of the TSL Foundation congratulated the students for their active participation and dedication throughout the tour. She highlighted that the programme offered participants first hand exposure to leading marine research institutions and ecological protection bases in the Greater Bay Area, allowing them to witness the importance of marine conservation and technological innovation. She encouraged the students to share their experiences with others, turn insights into motivation, and continue to support marine environmental protection and contribute to national technological development, as well as consider to build their future career at the Greater Bay Area.

Afterwards, four groups of students then took to the stage to share their reflections and takeaways from the tour, expressing deepened awareness of marine conservation and growing interest in science and technology. Highlight videos were also screened, revisiting precious moments of learning, exploration, and interaction during the trip.

As concluding remark, Ms. Connie Leung, Consultant to the TSL Foundation, noted that the Strive and Rise Programme's aim is to give platform for students to experience different activities so they can have better future planning opportunities. During the tour, she witnessed the students' growth and sincere smiles, which has made all the hard work worthwhile. She also encouraged students to utilise these good experience in their future studies and careers.

The TSL Foundation is committed to promoting youth development and public welfare through diverse learning, exchange, and practical opportunities. By nurturing global vision, social responsibility, and positive values among young people, the Foundation continues to connect youth with the development of the Greater Bay Area, inspiring the next generation to protect the ocean through action and shape the future through innovation.
