The Hong Kong International Rugby Sevens continues today (April 18) at the main stadium in Kai Tak. The second day of the tournament features World Series group stage matches and quarterfinals. In the afternoon, the Hong Kong men's team faced Japan in the Silver Sword match, ultimately losing 7-14.
Early in the match, Japan seized an opportunity to score a try first. Hong Kong fought back repeatedly and managed to level the score at 7-7 just before halftime. The second half saw a tense deadlock for a period, before Japan launched a fierce offensive. In the end, Hong Kong was unable to turn the tide and lost the match 7-14.
