The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong has launched an immersive Live Action Role-Playing Game, which has become a hit among participants for its ultra-realistic experience and profound anti-corruption educational value, winning heartfelt praise from all players.

The innovative interactive activity fully replicates the complete case-handling process of ICAC investigators, from evidence collection and on-site arrest to suspect interrogation. Every single session is exquisitely designed and closely linked, creating an exceptionally strong sense of immersion that allows participants to personally step into the shoes of anti-corruption investigators. With all on-site communication conducted entirely in Cantonese, the activity makes Hong Kong TV drama fans feel as if their favorite crime dramas have jumped into reality, bringing them a full sense of satisfaction.

Beyond the fascinating interactive experience, the activity carries significant educational significance, helping participants gain a comprehensive understanding of ICAC's anti-corruption endeavors. Mak Wai-keung, Director of ICAC's Community Relations, reviewed his years of anti-corruption experience since joining the commission, emphasizing that the entire anti-corruption work is a tense and interlocking process, while corruption tactics have become increasingly diversified and constantly evolved with the times. He stated that ICAC has transformed from its once relatively mysterious image to a more open and accessible institution, aiming to let more Hong Kong citizens personally experience and understand the commission's anti-corruption work. Going forward, ICAC will further adjust the difficulty level of the game based on players' feedback, refine activity details, and continuously elevate the overall experience.

Participants shared their genuine insights after the immersive experience. Kiki Zhang, one of the players, said the simulated arrest session was her favorite part. She took on the role of a partner on a romantic date to cover the investigation operation, making sure not to expose the team's actions to the suspect. She noted that this activity gave her a clear understanding of ICAC's daily work and strengthened her belief that fighting corruption is the responsibility of every citizen.

Ian Lau, another participant, gave glowing remarks about the activity, "I had an absolutely amazing experience. It has helped me gain a real insight into ICAC's work, which I never had the opportunity to learn about in daily life. The arrest process left the deepest impression on me." He added that he realized law enforcement operations rarely go exactly as planned in reality, and the activity made him fully comprehend the paramount importance of teamwork and adaptability in anti-corruption investigations.

By launching such innovative immersive public engagement activities, ICAC has effectively popularized anti-corruption knowledge among the public, bridged the gap between the commission and Hong Kong citizens, and further enhanced the whole society's awareness of joint participation in anti-corruption efforts.
