The wait is finally over for local fans of the beloved Chiikawa. HK‘s first permanent official store, "CHIIKAWA SHOP in HONG KONG," will officially open its doors to the public on Saturday, April 18, at MOKO New Town Plaza in Mong Kok. Spanning over 4,000 square feet, the shop is full of pure Chiikawa charm.
A Store with Local Fair
The new store is thoughtfully divided into two thematic sections. The ground-floor store is packed with local character. Fans will find creative photo spots blending Chiikawa elements with Hong Kong icons, including the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, the city's night skyline, and classic modes of transport.
The second‑floor store will greet fans with the "Magical CHIIKAWA" and "Chiikawa Baby" themes, filled with adorable decorations that showcase the characters in a whimsical, cute setting.
HK Exclusive Merchandise
To commemorate the grand opening, the store is launching two exclusive Hong Kong-themed keyring series. The "Red-White-Blue" series and the Cha Chaan Teng collection.
Opening Day Meet-and-Greet
- To celebrate the launch, a special "CHIIKAWA Opening Day Meet-and-Greet" will be held on April 18 from 12:00 PM to 5:15 PM, allowing lucky fans to take photos with Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi.
- The meet-and-greet operates on a real-name reservation basis. Successful registrants must arrive at the activity location 15 minutes before their scheduled time slot and present a valid identification document (ID card or passport) that matches the name used for registration.
- Each group is allowed approximately 30 seconds for photos, using only one phone or camera.
Reservation and Entry Details
Although the first round of booking slots for the launch day and the opening week is already fully booked, the second round of reservations for visits from April 25 to May 1 will open on Tuesday, April 21, at 11:00 AM.
