Hong Kong's Transport Department (TD) announced on April 15 that special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented to support the 2026 Hong Kong Sevens, scheduled to take place from April 17 to 19 at the Kai Tak Sports Park.
Traffic in the vicinity of the venue is expected to be heavy. Spectators are advised to use public transport and avoid driving or taking private cars to the event.
The TD has coordinated with public transport operators to enhance services during post-event dispersal periods after the final match each day. Train frequencies on the Tuen Ma Line will be increased. In addition, franchised bus operators will provide a total of 10 special routes from the pick-up and drop-off area on Sung Wong Toi Road, serving major districts across HK Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.
Among these, Route SP2A will pass through Nathan Road near Knutsford Terrace in Tsim Sha Tsui, while Route SP10 will serve areas including Causeway Bay near Paterson Street, Wan Chai, and Central (Lan Kwai Fong and Soho), offering convenient transport options for spectators.
Meanwhile, the taxi pick-up and drop-off area at the Kai Tak Stadium will be open. Due to the large number of departing attendees, longer waiting times for taxis are expected, and the public is advised to queue patiently.
Spectators are encouraged to pay attention to venue announcements and real-time updates provided via the "Easy Leave" platform, as well as the TD's website, the HKeMobility mobile application, and broadcasts on radio and television.
