On the opening day of a five-day holiday covering Easter and the Qingming Festival, West Kowloon high-speed rail station was inundated with departing passengers.
DDN reporters at the scene found the station concourse densely packed this morning, and a queue formed at the Austin Station exit leading to West Kowloon Station as early as 7:30 a.m.
Lo Wu Control Point was also busy today. Entire East Rail Line trains bound for Lo Wu were full, with most passengers carrying luggage.
