According to CCTV News, citing multiple media outlets including the Lebanese National News Agency and Al Jazeera, the headquarters of the Indonesian battalion of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in the Marzioyun region of southern Lebanon was shelled by Israeli forces on the evening of March 29, local time. UNIFIL has already evacuated the wounded by helicopter.
On March 6, Israeli forces shelled the UNIFIL headquarters in Ghana, injuring Ghanaian peacekeepers and severely damaging camp facilities. The Israeli military subsequently expressed "regret and apology," claiming they were "responding to an anti-tank missile attack from Hezbollah in Lebanon."
