On March 29 (local time), US President Donald Trump said that indirect talks between the United States and Iran conducted through the "middleman" Pakistan were "making good progress." When asked whether a ceasefire agreement could be reached in the coming days or whether the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened, Trump did not disclose any details.

Trump said, "We have about 3,000 targets left. We've already bombed 13,000 targets, and there are still thousands more to strike. An agreement could be reached very soon."
