The 18th Sohu News Marathon, co‑hosted by Sohu and Bauhinia Magazine, was held in Hong Kong today (March 26). This season's marathon shone with celebrity runners—including Lin Chi‑ling, Huang Xiaoming, Charlene Choi and Bosco Wong—who officially set off from the Wan Chai waterfront this morning to promote the spirit of sport.
At the starting ceremony, Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun delivered a speech saying she was very excited that the marathon is being held in Hong Kong. One of Hong Kong's features, she said, is the integration of sea, mountains, and city — during the race, participants will see skyscrapers as well as the beautiful sea and green hills. She hopes everyone will feel Hong Kong's charm through the event, challenge themselves and enjoy the process.
Before the run, the stars shared their exercise tips: Huang Xiaoming described exercise as an outlet for emotions that helps improve mood and keep one in better shape. Lin Chi‑ling said she gains positive energy from exercise and stressed that having the right life attitude is important; she hopes people can release stress and regain good condition through running and other forms of exercise.
Charlene Choi encouraged people to try different activities to find a sport they enjoy and to do suitable exercise amid busy work to feel happier. She also mentioned the "25+ EEG Family Concert" in May, saying she will collaborate with other singers and try things she has rarely done before, promising "there will definitely be surprises."
