According to Xinhua, Pir Hossein Kolivand, chairman of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, told foreign media in Tehran on March 21 that since the US and Israel launched attacks against Iran, the two countries have struck more than 80,000 Iranian civilian facilities.
Kolivand said that of the attacked sites, more than 20,000 are in Tehran and over 60,000 are in other provinces. Among them, 266 medical centers and 498 schools were directly or indirectly hit.
He said 17 Iranian Red Crescent Society centers, three rescue helicopters, 45 rescue vehicles and 42 ambulances were also damaged; one Red Crescent Society staff member was killed and 10 were injured. The attacks also killed 12 Iranian medical personnel and injured more than 90 others.
Kolivand emphasized that Iran considers these attacks violations of international humanitarian law and is recording the data daily to submit to relevant international organizations so that these illegal acts and crimes can be prosecuted according to law.
