On the evening of March 17 (local time), Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu released a video for the third consecutive day to refute rumours that he had died.
In Netanyahu's "third" short clip, he appears alongside US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. In the video Huckabee says he is relaying confirmation from Trump that everything is fine with Netanyahu, to which Netanyahu replies, "Yes, I am still alive," and displays a card claiming that "two names were removed today," implying that Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani and the commander of Iran's Basij Force commander Qasem Soleimani were killed in an Israeli strike.
Iran's Supreme National Security Council confirmed on March 17 that its secretary, Larijani, was killed in the US-Israel strikes on Iran; his son and several bodyguards also died. Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of the paramilitary Basij forces, was likewise killed in the US-Israel strikes.
