During China's Two Sessions, Hong Kong LegCo member and member of the national committee of CPPCC, Junius Ho, said it has become increasingly smooth for Hong Kong people to work and pursue opportunities in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), citing continued improvements in border-crossing convenience and port access.
Ho argued that deeper integration ultimately depends on creating real, shared opportunities—"the ability to make money and to make money together"—to capture public interest and participation. Acknowledging heightened competition across regions, he said intense competition is a global reality, while Hong Kong, "backed by the motherland," offers a comparatively safe and stable gateway. He encouraged young people to seize the GBA's vast market potential and, above all, take the first step by actively engaging in entrepreneurial ventures, networking with industry leaders, and participating in local initiatives that promote economic growth.
