According to reports from Xinhua, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched missiles that struck the Israeli military's General Staff headquarters, as reported by the Tasnim news agency on March 1.
CCTV reported that on March 1 local time, Iran declared it had initiated a large-scale attack against Israeli and US bases.
The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed that Iran had launched missiles toward Israeli territory, and defense systems were actively working to intercept the threats. Just minutes earlier, the Israeli Home Front Command had sent warning alerts directly to mobile phones in the affected areas. Reports indicate that alarms were sounded in central Israel.
Around 8 am local time on March 1, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued announcement number six.
The announcement stated that Iran had begun the sixth wave of operations under "Operation Real Commitment 4," involving large-scale missile and drone attacks against Israel and US military bases in the region.
The announcement claimed that 27 US military bases in the area, as well as the Israeli military's General Staff headquarters in HaKirya and a major defense industrial zone in Tel Aviv, had all come under attack.
