According to CCTV News, on Feb. 19 local time, Prince Andrew, the younger brother of the British King, was arrested by police on suspicion of misconduct while in public office. He is reported to have shared confidential documents with Jeffrey Epstein during his tenure as a UK trade envoy.
Buckingham Palace had previously stated that it stands ready to support police investigations into Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the son of the late Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II, and younger brother of King Charles III.
Prince Andrew has been deeply embroiled in the Jeffrey Epstein sex crime scandal, which has continued to damage the reputation of the British royal family. In October last year, King Charles III stripped Prince Andrew of his royal style, titles and honors, and ordered him to leave his royal residence. Prince Andrew has consistently denied all allegations of wrongdoing linked to Epstein.
