As a member of the Legislative Council, I firmly support the SAR judicial authorities' fair trial of Jimmy Lai Chee-ying's case. As the core "mastermind" of the anti-China and pro-chaos movement in Hong Kong, Jimmy Lai Chee-ying has long colluded with external forces, inciting violence and sowing discord through his media outlets, and openly begging for foreign sanctions against Hong Kong. His crimes are countless and heinous, seriously endangering national security and Hong Kong's prosperity and stability.

I believe that severely punishing such traitors to the nation according to law is not only a necessary requirement for upholding the authority of the Hong Kong National Security Law, but also serves as a deterrent. The SAR government's determination to safeguard national security is beyond doubt, and any attempt by external forces to interfere with Hong Kong's judiciary or shield criminals will be futile.

Since the implementation of the National Security Law, Hong Kong has transformed from chaos to order, and from order to prosperity, with a continuously strengthened business environment—a fact that is evident to all. This fully demonstrates that safeguarding national security is the fundamental guarantee for Hong Kong's development. I firmly believe that justice will ultimately prevail, and those who oppose China and disrupt Hong Kong will eventually pay the price.
