According to Xinhua News Agency, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported on Feb. 5 that a vehicle crashed into a Chinese supermarket in the Westwood area of Los Angeles at around noon, leading to at least three deaths and seven injuries.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:11 p.m. local time. At least ten victims were found at the scene, with three pronounced dead and the remaining seven transported to hospitals for emergency care.
Local media reports indicate that the supermarket is a chain operated by Chinese individuals, located near the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver, a woman approximately 70 years old, had already struck a cyclist on the roadway before crashing into the supermarket.
