The classic trendy art character MOLLY, created by Hong Kong designer Kenny Wong, is celebrating her 20th birthday. In collaboration with POP MART, Sino Group has set up 55 sculptures of MOLLY's classic designs across eight of its shopping malls starting today (Feb. 2), offering photo spots for the public.
At the China Hong Kong City Dolphin Square, MOLLY sculptures have been arranged neatly for display. Upon entering the terrace, a 7-meter-tall MOLLY in jockey attire captures visitors' attention. This design was specially created for the Lunar New Year of the Horse and is currently the largest MOLLY statue in Hong Kong.
The original terrace garden has been transformed into a MOLLY-themed "playground," attracting many citizens and tourists to take photos with the adorable figures. At the entrance stands the classic first-generation MOLLY, while dozens of anniversary edition sculptures are displayed on both sides of the garden. A specially designed "photo frame" at the far end allows visitors to snap pictures with MOLLY and the Victoria Harbour skyline.
Besides China Hong Kong City, other participating malls include Tuen Mun Town Plaza, Olympian City, Citywalk, Tsim Sha Tsui Centre and Empire Centre, Island Resort Mall, Gold Coast Piazza, and Lee Tung Avenue, each featuring MOLLY sculptures tailored to their local characteristics. Starting tomorrow (Feb. 3), S+REWARDS members can redeem 8 points for a "MOLLY Shining Starlight Passport." By presenting the passport for stamps at designated concierge desks in the eight malls, they will receive exclusive MOLLY stickers for free.
