The University of Hong Kong (HKU) announced today (Jan. 30) that it will implement a new visitor quota system from Feb. 9 to Feb. 27 in response to a projected increase in campus visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday period.
Under the special arrangement, visitors planning to visit the HKU campus from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. are required to make an advance booking through HKU's online registration platform. Access will be subject to quota availability for each timeslot.
Visitors arriving outside these hours, including on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, are exempt from the booking requirement.
HKU stated that it will closely monitor the effectiveness of the visitor quota system and make necessary adjustments based on feedback from university members and the public.
