In the early hours of Jan. 3 local time, after months of intelligence gathering and simulated drills, the US Army's Delta Force launched a nighttime raid on a safe house at the Fort Tiuna military base in Caracas. Nicolás Maduro and his wife were fast asleep in their bedroom when they were forcibly dragged from their bed and subdued by the assault team.
There was also evidence linking Maduro's abduction to internal traitors in Venezuela who were collaborating with the US. Starting in August 2025, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) deployed a team of covert operatives in Venezuela, tasked with gathering information on Maduro's daily routines and movements. In the days leading up to the kidnapping, and even at the critical moment, CIA informants embedded within the Venezuelan government were continuously monitoring Maduro's location.
Some online comments point out that Maduro "was not defeated by the US but by the traitors around him."Looking at Hong Kong, if Jimmy Lai, who proclaimed he was "fighting for the US," had succeeded, Hong Kong would have already undergone a drastic transformation, becoming a "prize" of American hegemony. In Lai's case, his collusion with American politicians clearly demonstrates that threats to national security come not only from external sources but also from traitors who collaborate with foreign forces.
The verdict, spanning over 800 pages, reveals that Lai was a key pawn in the US's efforts to carry out similar conspiracies in Hong Kong. Hong Kong citizens still remember the violent impacts of the 2019 turmoil, during which the US and the West openly supported figures like Lai. As a core figure in opposing China and destabilizing Hong Kong, Lai maintained deep connections with "Hong Kong independence" and violent organizations, as well as foreign forces. He openly clamored to "fight for the US," desperately begging for foreign sanctions against China and the Hong Kong SAR, using media platforms to incite ethnic hatred, and encouraging rioters to set fires, vandalize property, and harm others.
American politicians even praised the malicious actions and consequences of the US-orchestrated "color revolution" in Hong Kong as a "beautiful sight."
Brave Chan, a Hong Kong deputy to the National People's Congress, believes that the US's past brazen interference in Hong Kong affairs was precisely because there were pawns like Lai paving the way for such intrusions. Lai's actions of "fighting for the US" are equivalent to treason. Had he succeeded, it would have dealt a devastating blow to Hong Kong.
