According to Xinhua News Agency, the International Olympic Committee announced on Jan. 14 that the registration channel for the ticket draw of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games is now open. Fans interested in attending the event will need to register on the official LA28 website to create a personal profile. Only registered users will be eligible to participate in the subsequent ticket purchase process.
The registration period runs from Jan. 14 to March 18, 2026. After registering, users will be entered into a draw system, which will randomly allocate ticket purchase time slots. Registrants will only be able to purchase tickets during their designated time slots.
Importantly, the registration process does not involve payment and does not obligate users to buy tickets. It is merely the first step toward securing the opportunity to purchase tickets.
Public ticket purchase windows will open in April 2026, with over 3 million tickets available during the initial sales phase. Additionally, eligible residents of Los Angeles and other host venues will have the opportunity to register for a local priority pre-sale. Those who successfully secure a ticket purchase time slot through the draw will be notified up to 48 hours before their assigned time slot begins.
Ticket prices start at US$28 (approximately RMB 195.14), and tickets for all sports and sessions will be available. Each account holder can purchase up to 12 Olympic tickets.
