The British brand Fortnum & Mason has announced that its Tsim Sha Tsui branch, located at K11 Musea, will officially close on Jan. 25 after seven years of operation. Following the announcement on Jan. 9, the store launched a clearance sale with discounts of up to 60%, attracting large crowds of customers.
According to local media reports, long queues formed outside the store on Jan. 10. Before the store opened at 11:00 a.m., more than 100 people were already waiting. Some customers noted that they had arrived before 10:00 a.m., planning to spend over HK$1,000 on tea and biscuits.
Fortnum & Mason, a brand with a rich history dating back to 1707 in London, expanded to HK in late 2019 with the opening of its branch at K11 Musea in Tsim Sha Tsui.
