As one of the world's largest consumer technology industry events, the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA, opened on Jan. 6 local time. The four-day exhibition, once again, gathered over 4,000 companies covering cutting-edge fields such as AI, chips, automobiles, and robotics. Notably, more than 930 Chinese companies, including Alibaba, Hisense, and Unitree Technology, have formed groups to "showcase their intelligence" overseas, making China the second-largest exhibitor after the United States.

In the humanoid robot exhibition area, Chinese products have made a collective appearance with an overwhelming presence, attracting widespread attention and demonstrating the global influence of Chinese intelligent manufacturing.

As a major tech event at the beginning of the year, the CES is regarded as the "barometer" of the international consumer electronics field. This year's exhibition attracted thousands of companies from over 155 countries and regions, showcasing the latest advancements in areas such as AI, future energy, robotics technology, and automotive technology. According to reports, smart glasses have become a focal point for new products, with companies including Alibaba, Snap, and Meta collectively showcasing their latest AI eyewear products.

Display technologies such as televisions also remain a key highlight, with Chinese, Japanese, and Korean brands like TCL, Hisense, Sony, LG, and Samsung launching a new round of competition in the high-end market.

Autonomous driving reaches inflection point

Observing the participating companies, it is evident that AI has become the main theme of technological innovation this year, and the intelligent manufacturing products brought by Chinese companies have attracted significant attention from the audience. This year 2026 marks Geely Auto's third consecutive participation in CES. At the press conference held one day before the opening, staff noted that most attendees were American media representatives, who generally expressed interest in Chinese AI-powered automobiles.

In addition to the intelligent transformation of traditional industries, technology companies in emerging fields have also demonstrated remarkable performance. According to earlier reports, the robotics industry chain companies participating in the exhibition—from key sensors, dexterous hands, and computing platforms to robot bodies—have preliminarily outlined a clear and complete domestic robotics industry landscape.

Neolix, a global leader in unmanned delivery, unveiled its AI-driven next-generation autonomous logistics solutions at the exhibition and showcased its full series of RoboVan product matrix. Yu Enyuan, founder and CEO of Neolix, told Wen Wei Po that autonomous logistics is at a critical inflection point, transitioning from pilot exploration to true large-scale commercial implementation.

"2025 was a milestone. We achieved large-scale deployment, continuously refined our mapless technology solutions, and steadily expanded our global market footprint."

21 out of 38 booths in humanoid robot core exhibition area occupied by Chinese companies

The collective appearance of China's robotics contingent has undoubtedly been one of the focal points of this year's exhibition. Data shows that Chinese manufacturers occupy 21 out of 38 booths in the core humanoid robot exhibition area.

At the CES venue, Unitree showcased the G1, which won the world's first robot fighting competition, as well as the entry-level R2 and the next-generation H2 models. The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, with the technical goal of "capable and efficient work," also showcased multiple robots, including the "Embodied Tien Kung 2.0" and "Embodied Tien Kung Ultra." EngineAI Robotics Technology brought two flagship humanoid robot products: the PM01, which previously gained international popularity for its human-like gait, and the full-size general-purpose humanoid robot T800, making its global debut. The demonstration focused on the full-body coordinated movement and fine manipulation capabilities of the T800 and PM01, winning applause and admiration from the audience.

According to a Morgan Stanley report from December last year, China filed 7,705 patent applications in the field of humanoid robots over the past five years, significantly higher than the 1,561 filed by the United States.
