The Hong Kong Observatory reported that today (Jan. 5) will be clear and dry, with a gentle breeze from the north to northeast. Later, the wind will become moderate, and it will significantly cool down tonight. The minimum temperature in the urban area for the next couple of days is expected to be around 12 to 13 degrees, while it will be a few degrees lower in the New Territories, with clear skies and very dry conditions, leading to a considerable temperature difference between day and night.
The weather in Guangdong is generally good. Additionally, the atmospheric pressure in northern Guangdong is rising, and a winter monsoon is expected to gradually affect the coastal areas later today. According to the Observatory's nine-day weather forecast, temperatures will drop to as low as 12 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday (Jan. 7 and 8), followed by a slight temperature rebound.
