On the evening of December 28, the men's team final of the 2025 China Table Tennis Super League Championships concluded with Wang Chuqin leading the Shandong Weiqiao to a 3-0 victory over the Huangshi Huaxin, clinching the men's team championship. With this, Wang Chuqin has wrapped up all his competitions for 2025.
In a post-match interview, Wang addressed how he maintains his desire to win, admitting, "It's really about taking a break for some time, stepping away from table tennis, away from the limelight, and away from the cameras, to live undisturbed for a while and to allow myself to readjust and start afresh. I hope to do even better in 2026."
He reflected, "Looking back over the past ten years, I truly feel sentimental. From being an inexperienced athlete who simply loved table tennis to where I am now, I feel lucky and happy to have come this far. I hope to continually climb higher as an athlete, not comparing myself to anyone else but only to my past self, striving to be better than the Wang Chuqin of yesterday."
Looking back on the 2025 season, Wang Chuqin secured a total of 15 championships, including 12 international competitions and 3 domestic events. During the WTT Finals Hong Kong in December, he was unable to bend over due to illness and ultimately chose to withdraw from the competition.
