The northeast monsoon is affecting South China, and the weather in the region is generally good. The Hong Kong Observatory predicts that Hong Kong will be mostly sunny today (Dec. 9). In the morning, the minimum temperature in the urban area is about 19 degrees Celsius, while it may drop by two to three degrees in the New Territories. The maximum daytime temperature is approximately 23 degrees Celsius. Later, it will gradually become cloudy with a chance of light rain in the evening; there will be moderate to fresh easterly to northeasterly winds, with occasional strong gusts offshore at first.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, it will be generally cloudy. Over the next day or two, the weather will become clearer. On Saturday, the northeast winds will strengthen, bringing some rain and a significant drop in evening temperatures. Early next week, the minimum temperature will be around 15 to 16 degrees Celsius.
