Today (Dec. 7) is the 2025 Legislative Council (LegCo) election day. Nvezat Durmus, originally from Turkey, came to the Kowloon Park Sports Centre polling station to fulfill his civic responsibility.
The 51-year-old Nvezat Durmus shared that he has lived in Hong Kong for 31 years, a period longer than his time spent in Turkey. Before voting, he carefully considered whether the candidates could genuinely serve the public and what they could contribute, ultimately making a well-thought-out decision.
He expressed particular concern about the city's environment and the growth of future generations. He hopes HK will remain clean and tidy, while the social environment stays safe, providing a nurturing space for young people and children. Additionally, he aspires for a better quality of life and future for expatriates living in HK.
In front of the camera, he also encouraged all eligible voters to actively participate in the election, contributing to the collective development of the city.
