The 2025 Legislative Council (LegCo) election is being held today (Dec. 7). Abdul Kassim, a 33-year-old member of Hong Kong's local Indian community, cast his vote at the Kowloon Park Sports Centre polling station and shared his thoughts in the interview.
He expressed that voting is a step toward a better future, particularly in securing more support for ethnic minorities and ensuring the well-being of the next generation. Kassim pointed out that while there are many policies in HK that benefit the public, a significant number of citizens are not fully aware of them.
He hopes the newly elected LegCo members will act as a bridge to close this information gap, making these policies more widely known and benefiting society as a whole, including children.
