Hong Kong's Legislative Council (LegCo) election is underway today (Dec. 7), with polling stations operating from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The public has shown strong enthusiasm for the election, fulfilling their responsibility as citizens.
According to the official election website, as of 12:30 p.m.—five hours into the voting period—536,527 voters had cast their ballots in the geographical constituencies. Additionally, 30,166 voters participated in the functional constituencies, while 1,241 voters completed their ballots in the Election Committee constituency.
The Election Committee constituency, which comprises 1,466 registered voters, recorded a turnout rate of 84.65%, reflecting high participation among this group.
