The Primary Healthcare Commission previously announced arrangements for free primary healthcare services at District Health Centres (DHCs)/DHC Expresses for residents impacted by the Tai Po fire.

Today (Dec. 4), the commission further announced the establishment of the "Family Doctor Free Consultation Scheme" to support affected residents.

Case managers have been assigned at Health Centers across all 18 districts to comprehensively follow up on primary healthcare needs of affected residents.

Based on individual needs and residents' preferences, residents can be matched with either private-sector family doctors participating in the scheme or with the Hospital Authority's Family Medicine Clinics services.

Coordinated by the commission, over 140 private family doctors have joined the free consultation scheme, covering 170 service points, including 4 private hospitals.

Affected residents may receive up to three free consultations arranged through Health Centers from today until Feb. 28, 2026.

Family doctors interested in participating in the free consultation scheme are encouraged to contact the commission via email at phcc@healthbureau.gov.hk.
