A devastating No. 5 alarm fire broke out at Wang Fuk Court, Hong Kong, on Nov. 26. According to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), as of 8 p.m. on Dec. 3, firefighters have located 364 animals in the aftermath of the blaze. Among them, 294 animals were rescued alive, while 70 have unfortunately perished. There are still 173 animals unaccounted for.
The SPCA estimates that over 537 animals were affected by the fire. Among the animals rescued in the past two days were fish, pet crabs, and a deceased cat.
