A No. 5 fire broke out at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po yesterday (Nov. 26) and has still not been extinguished. As of today (Nov. 27) at noon, the fire has resulted in at least 55 deaths and over 60 injuries, including one firefighter who lost their life in the line of duty. News Point has produced before-and-after comparison photos of the devastating impact of the Wang Fuk Court blaze, showcasing the extensive destruction, which is truly heartbreaking.

Wang Fuk Court is a public housing estate that was completed in 1983, boasting a history of 42 years. It consists of 8 blocks, each 31 stories high, accommodating 1,984 households and over 4,000 residents. At the time, the prices for units in Wang Fuk Court were quite affordable, ranging from approximately HK$116,000 to HK$159,000.
