A level 5 fire broke out yesterday (Nov. 26) at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, leading to multiple casualties. As of this morning (Nov. 27) at 9:30 am, the fire has resulted in at least 44 fatalities and over 60 injuries.
The Tai Po Arts Centre is currently repurposed as a temporary warehouse for relief supplies, serving as a storage point for various rescue materials and openly accepting donations from the public. Officials stated that the team will continuously monitor real-time updates on Facebook and Instagram. Once the specific needs of the disaster victims are identified, they will promptly deliver supplies to the affected area. Additionally, vehicles for transporting these supplies are being provided by volunteers using their private cars.
The center has received sufficient donations of supplies. Citizens are advised to handle these donations accordingly.
