A series of fires broke out this morning (Nov. 27) in Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsuen Wan, separated by just 20 minutes, sending plumes of thick smoke into the air.
At 8:22 a.m., a fire ignited in the bedroom of a residential unit in Tsuen Lok Building on Tsuen Lok Street, Tsuen Wan. Residents attempted to extinguish the fire themselves but were unsuccessful, prompting multiple emergency calls for assistance. Upon arrival, firefighters extinguished the flames and rescued a man and a woman from the unit. Both individuals were transported to the hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation.
Approximately 17 minutes later, at 8:39 a.m., another fire erupted in a Thai supermarket on Lock Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. The blaze caused large volumes of smoke to fill the area. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far.
