Countdown to Black Friday! Discount wars are about to begin in Hong Kong's malls. We hit the streets to interview foreign friends in Hong Kong and hear their interesting thoughts on Black Friday shopping.
When asked if they would take advantage of the discounts, most smiled and shook their heads: "I don't really shop," "I won't," or "I haven't decided yet!" However, some planned shoppers mentioned they intended to buy sports shoes, clothing, or "a lot of gifts to take home!"
Asked about the craziest Black Friday item they have bought, some struggled to remember, but interesting answers emerged: "I once bought a pirate poker set for my dad," and "I bought a bed at half price." These unique shopping experiences added a personal touch and fun to this shopping extravaganza.
When asked, "What would you most like to buy at a 90% discount?" the answers quickly escalated: "A house!" Mark from Australia replied without hesitation. "A car!" and "Maybe a house!" were similar responses that followed. Some homesick respondents even expressed, "I want a plane ticket back to Australia."
This Black Friday, whether you plan to shop or not, consider: if you had a 90% discount opportunity, what would you most want to bring home?
