The Hong Kong Observatory issued a special weather reminder at 6 a.m. today (Nov. 18), noting that HK's weather will turn significantly cooler under the influence of a strong northeast monsoon. Urban areas are expected to see minimum temperatures of around 14°C on Wednesday (Nov. 19) and Thursday (Nov. 20), while colder conditions are anticipated in parts of the New Territories.
The Observatory predicts that the weather will gradually improve later in the week, with sunny and very dry conditions. Daytime temperatures will rise steadily, but mornings will remain cool.
The Observatory highlighted that the wind chill effect will be noticeable. Residents are advised to monitor weather changes, keep warm, and pay extra attention to the elderly and people with chronic illnesses.
