During the women's team semifinals for the youth tennis group at the National Games, a large cockroach suddenly appeared on the court, sparking heated discussions among netizens.
On Nov. 11, in the semifinals where the Hubei team's Wei Zhangqian and Wu Ruxi faced off against Tianjin's Gao Duanrui and Lan Xiran, a video online showed a cockroach appearing on the court during the match. Upon seeing it, Hubei's Wei Zhangqian immediately stopped to look, while teammate Wu Ruxian attempted to drive the cockroach off with her racket. Staff then quickly intervened, stepping on the cockroach and removing its dead body by hand.
Netizens humorously commented, "Local residents also want to join in," "Vibrant Greater Bay Area, charming 'dual ponytails'," and "Guangdong-style 'dual ponytails' also want to watch the match."
