Today (Nov. 13), the highly anticipated artistic swimming events of the 15th National Games kicked off at the Jiangmen Sports Center's swimming pool, with 10 teams from across the country participating in the initial collective event. The Hong Kong team featured 8 athletes.
In the technical routine competition for the team event that morning, the Beijing Sport University team took the lead with a score of 294.7008, while the Hong Kong team ranked 10th with a score of 163.2283. The team event is divided into three categories: technical routine, free routine, and highlight routine. The scores from these three categories will be combined to determine the final qualification for the finals.
It is reported that the artistic swimming competition at the National Games will span three competition days, with Olympic champions Wang Qianyi and Wang Liuyi set to represent Guangdong in the women's duet event on November 15.
