The Hong Kong Palace Museum is proud to announce the upcoming exhibition, "Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums," set to open on November 20, 2025. This unprecedented exhibition will be the largest, most comprehensive, and longest-running display of ancient Egyptian treasures ever presented in Hong Kong.
Featuring an extraordinary collection of 250 precious artefacts, the exhibition offers a captivating journey into the world of pharaohs, gods, and the daily life of ancient Egyptians. Visitors will have the opportunity to marvel at statues of pharaohs and deities, exquisite gold ornaments, impressive large-scale coffins, and fascinating animal mummies.
The artefacts are generously on loan from seven prominent museums in Egypt, including the renowned Egyptian Museum in Cairo, the Luxor Museum of Ancient Egyptian Art, and recent archaeological discoveries from Saqqara. This marks the first time these treasures will be displayed in Hong Kong, with many being exhibited outside of Egypt for the very first time, making this a truly unique and unmissable cultural event.
