The men's 400m freestyle preliminaries of the 15th National Games took place today (Nov. 10). Swimming stars Pan Zhanle and Sun Yang both competed in Heat 4, occupying lanes four and five, respectively. Pan Zhanle finished second in his heat with a time of 3:51.64, while Sun Yang placed fifth with a time of 3:52.90.
In the final overall rankings, Pan Zhanle finished fifth and Sun Yang eighth, both successfully advancing to the next round. After the race, Sun Yang and Pan Zhanle shook hands in celebration.
