The Primary Healthcare Commission announced today (Nov. 6) that the Chronic Disease Co-Care Pilot Scheme (the CDCC Pilot Scheme) now offers more flexible medical laboratory service arrangements to participants.
Participants of the CDCC Pilot Scheme may visit any participating medical laboratory service point by presenting a referral note from an enrolled family doctor. The number of service points has been increased from 24 to 63, while co-payment fees remain unchanged.
All medical laboratories participating in the CDCC Pilot Scheme are accredited under the eHealth+ Connectivity Accreditation Scheme. Test reports will be stored in participants' personal eHealth accounts and are accessible to individuals and authorised healthcare personnel.
Participants of the CDCC Pilot Scheme may also use District Health Centres/Expresses for blood collection or sample submission. Some family doctors offer on-site blood drawing services, for which additional fees may apply.
