Ilnur Minakhmetov, originally from Russia, has been living in Hong Kong since 2012, where he works as an English teacher at a secondary school. A few years ago, he obtained permanent residency in HK. Beyond his teaching role, he actively participates in a variety of community activities and social affairs in the city.

During the last Legislative Council (LegCo) election, Ilnur fulfilled his civic duty by casting his vote. He has firmly stated that he will vote again this year, emphasizing the importance of voting as it determines who represents you. He sees voting as a meaningful way to make citizens' voices heard and express their opinions.

The 2025 LegCo General Election is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 7. The nomination period runs from Oct. 24 to Nov. 6, during which 90 legislators will be elected across geographical constituencies, functional constituencies, and the Election Committee constituency.
